Who we Are
Our group is made up of resident's full time or part time in the Cape and lower Cape area. We have around 25 members but always welcoming new members.
Working Bees - (around 6 per year) and meetings (2 per year)
We have been working to:
1. Care for the Hooded Plover nesting attempts at Cape Bridgewater.
2. Build awareness of environmental weeds locally - information on 'Cape Bridgewater Community' Facebook page.
3. Hold working bees to reduce fire risk near the Surf Club as a Bushfire Place of last Resort. We are working to replace volatile weed species with Karkalla and Bower Spinach
4. Remove and reduce infestations of Polygala Myrtifolia..
Aims for 2025
We are investigating a coordinated program to control the rabbit population.s.
